This November, Swindon Web Creations staff are joining RunVEMBER, an annual event to support local charities, including Swindon Food Collective. By running, walking, cycling, or swimming every day, our team is committed to doing their bit to help those in need while bringing some friendly competition into the workplace.
Why Our Team Is Taking Part
RunVEMBER provides our team at Swindon Web Creations a way to give back to the local community. By participating, we’re able to contribute directly to the charities that make a difference in Swindon, such as the Swindon Food Collective, which has supported thousands of people facing food insecurity, including families and children.
RunVEMBER began in 2013 with a simple yet powerful mission: raise support for those in need, especially during the cold winter months when many are most vulnerable. Over the years, it has grown into a widely recognised effort, bringing together runners, cyclists, and walkers, each dedicating themselves to this month-long journey. For us, RunVEMBER represents a chance to step away from our usual web and design work and focus on something bigger.
Our Team’s Goal: Meeting and Beating Last Year’s Milestones
Maddy, who ran just over 100 miles last year, is looking to beat her own total. For Jonny, Sam, Chris, and Paul, this is their first RunVEMBER, and they’re ready to go head-to-head with Maddy’s mileage from last year. It’s a web of support, friendly competition, and determination to contribute to a good cause.
How You Can Support Swindon Web Creations and RunVEMBER
Supporting us is easy. You can donate directly through RunVEMBER’s main page, or consider dropping off essential items that will go directly to the Swindon Food Collective. Items like non-perishable food and warm clothing make a big difference.
Look Out for RunVEMBER Vests Around Town
This November, keep an eye out for the printed running numbers around town, as our team and others hit the streets. If you see someone, give them a wave — they’re helping support our community.
